Food Network in the UK has picked up the first two seasons of TLC patisserie reality show DC Cupcakes.
The Scripps Interactive cabsat channel has acquired the series, made by Big Fish Entertainment, from distributor Shine International.
Food Network has bought season one (6×30′) and season two (13×30′) of the series, which follows two sisters in Washington who give up their well-paid jobs to fulfill a lifetime ambition of running a cupcake company.
Season one will premiere on the channel on June 28 at 16.00.
Food Network has also licensed the series Three Sheets from Shine. The reality show, from Seattle-based Screaming Flea Productions, follows comedian Zane Lamprey around the world as he joins local patrons for a drink and hears about their traditional hangover cures. Season one (8×30′) and season two (10×30′) will both be shown, starting on July 4 at 23.00.
